Orange Thandai recipe
Ingredients
- 2 drop orange flavour
- 10-12 cashew nuts
- 10-12 almonds
- 5-6 pistachio
- 1 tsp poppy seeds
- 2 tsp fennel
- 2 tsp melon seed
- 8 black peppers
- 1 pinch kesar (optional)
- ½ cup gulkand
Recipe
- Soak cashew nut, almonds, pistachio, poppy seeds, fennel, melon seeds and black pepper for 6-7 hours.
- Grind all the nuts and seeds into a smooth paste.
- Add half cup milk and grind again.
- Filter all the mixture and squeeze out the paste.
- Take milk in a pan and boil it.
- In the milk add 4-5 tsp sugar and 2 drops of orange flavour in it and stir well.
- Let the milk boil for few minutes.
- Turn off the stove and add the paste in the milk.
- Mix well, and let the thandai cool down and then refrigerate it for few hours.
- Before serving the thandai add ½ tablespoon gulkand in the glass and then pour the thandai in the glass.
- Garnish the thandai with nuts and your thandai is ready to drink.
